The inspiration to create the art for "The Galactic Cross Tarot" on a larger scale came from Iamblichus, the neo-Platonist who recorded ‘An Egyptian Initiation into the ‘Mysteries of Osiris’ to test the priest’s intuition, intelligence and moral courage. The priest was blindfolded, taken through the entrance of the Sphinx, and down a subterranean labyrinth that led to the temple of Osiris. After passing many arduous tests the Hierophant accompanied the initiate into a long gallery with 22 symbolic frescoes whose imagery is amazingly similar to the 22 Major Arcana found in the Tarot. The Hierophant, number nine in this book, then taught him the significance of the images and ordered him to memorize them. I invite you to meditate on this art and discover your inner guru.
